An unidentified flying object (UFO) near the controversial Area 51 was captured in camera as Nevada resident managed to photograph the strange event. I have 2 sightings within 24 hours. Both were the same object. First sighting. My son and I were using my spotting scope looking at a heron making a nest in a tree about 4,000 feet away at an altitude of 500 ft on a small hill. we were sitting on a sleeping bag on my front lawn. Time was about 8:45 PM. My son was 8 years old. We saw a dull red light behind the hill. The light seem to flow out towards the area we were in. The light traveled for about 1,000 yard but the light at the end of the beam stopped. It was a perfect triangle. The end of the beam was in a line as sharp as the sides. My son ran to the house. I sat there wondering what was going on. Then the beam started moving in jerks. Behind the hill a dull red disk rose up. The beam turned of and the disk moved off fast.

I worked for the caterpillar tractor co. I worked swing shift. at approx 12:45 PM I walked out the door of the machine shop. I walked to the guard shack where my truck was parked. the guard was standing out side looking up in the sky. there was a giant dull red object in the sky. I could not tell how far away it was but it looked like not more than 500 ft. the guard said what the hell is that. I ask how long its been there. He told me a couple of min. I got in my truck to drive home and looked up again and it was gone. The next day in the statesman newspaper I read the story about the orange disks, 3 policemen said they followed 2 of them down the Willamette river and both were diving in and out of the water. The news soon died away but some of the men where I worked talked about this for several years. the first sighting was the strangest. I would have to draw a picture to really explain how the light was moving.

I continued to try and track it and realized that as it would go dark it would appear farther to the west... still headed in a N/NW direction. Each time it would go dark I would try to anticipate where it would appear and I was wrong until I figured it out. I began to use a star and a notch in my wall to be sure. Always appearing to the west of where I thought it should be. It continued in the same direction until I lost it. very dusty conditions here in the Phoenix area at the time. I didn't catch last night's premier of Ghost Hunters International. I tried to view it on the website but they were having problems. So, for the moment, I cannot comment on this new branch of the show. At first, I thought that perhaps the old team were getting out of the "biz" to focus on family more (a lament they often proclaimed) but, as the commercials attest, a new season will be starting up soon. I am also excited to see that they will be launching a UFO Hunters later this year. I curious to know how that's going to work out since, by and large, UFO's are far rarer than haunting phenomena. One cannot simply go to a give location and expect to see them as you might with a haunted house. If it is investigations of documents, photos, videos from the past, then they will have to try VERY hard to impress us with something we haven't seen before. That is all very well traveled territory. If all of these shows (Monsterquest, Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State) could manage to find their respective ways onto the same cable network, that would just be fantastic. Ghosts, etc... aren't exactly science fiction (SciFi) and I simply don't get A&E's focus anymore. At least the history channel delves into the "history" of paranormal phenomena and the travel channel shows you the various paranormal locales one can visit. Once policy makers gain a general understanding of the overall extraterrestrial context they will then be able to ask the proper specific questions of the intelligence community, military and the private sector involved and controlling illegitimate extraterrestrial policy. Then will it be possible to wrest control of extraterrestrial policy back into the hands of legitimate policymakers who are constitutionally responsible to the peoples of the world.

For the reasons stated above I believe it is imperative that well informed civilian UFO/ET investigators and activists be brought into national government and UN policy discussions now!
