Es geht in diesem Buch um den "ersten", zumindest um den ersten schriftlich fixierten, "UFO-Entf"uhrungsfall". Involviert waren eine Sara Shaw und ihre Freundin Jan Whitley die im abgelegenen Tujunga Be gluttonous Areal in einer H"utte lebten. ^2 Bei ihrer Flucht bemerkten sie vor ihrer Behausung eine Gestalt mit langen Haaren die hinter einigen B"uschen stand und sie zu beobachten schien. Nachdem in den 1950gern langhaarige M"anner un"ublich waren kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden das es sich um eine Frau handelte die mit den Vorf"allen direkt zu tun hatte und als "Nachhut" eingesetzt wurde.

Sara wandte sich 1975 an die kalifornische Ufologin Ann Druffel. Diese wollte die Vorf"alle mit Hypnose untersuchen lassen und kontaktierte den Polizeipsychologen Dr. Reiser. Bei der dann durchgef"uhrten Hypnose Regression stellten sich ein paar recht interessante Umst"ande heraus:

Da die Frauen darauf kaum reagierten muss angenommen werden dass sie zu der Zeit bereits bet"aubt waren. Sie wurden dann an Bord einer Flugscheibe gebracht und "medizinisch" untersucht.

^2 Jan, die scheinbar eine etwas robustere Konstitution aufwies, lieferte sich an Bord des Objektes ein Handgemenge mit den "Aliens", konnte dann aber wieder "ruhig gestellt" werden.

^3 Sara schilderte das sie mit einer merkw"urdig gekennzeichneten "4 markiert" wurde. Druffel fand heraus das diese Zahl das astrologische Zeichen f"ur Jupiter ist. Man kann sich fragen ob das ein dilettantischer Versuch war der Verschleppung etwas "ausserirdisches" zu verleihen.

Druffel war offenbar mit den Ergebnissen der Untersuchung nicht zufrieden. Wie anders kann man sich erkl"aren das sie auf die Dienste von Dr. Reiser verzichtete um sich an einen UFO-Freak namens Dr. McCall zu wenden der aus den Vorf"allen mittels Hypnose eine "klassische" Alien-Entf"uhrung machte?

Das zeigte sich auch an einem anderen Beispiel: Die Zeugin Jan war drei Jahre sp"ater mit einer Frau im Wagen unterwegs. Da beide v"ollig "uberm"udet waren suchten sie sich eine abgelegene Stell um zu "ubernachten. Nach einiger Zeit wurden sie von hellen Scheinwerfern geblendet die von einem Motor vehicle stammten der an den Wagen heranfuhr. Ein Mann stieg aus und manipulierte am Fahrzeug der beiden Frauen.

Ein "Collapse" setzte ein und sie erwachten am folgenden Morgen wieder ohne sich erkl"aren zu k"onnen was geschehen war. Druffel erw"ahnte "ubrigens noch einen Vorfall der sich Jahre nach der Entf"uhrung abgespielt hatte. Am 03-09-1975 beobachteten drei Zeugen im Bereich des Tujunga Be gluttonous ab 20 Uhr eine h"ochst earn "Flug"ubung" am Himmel. As far as I can see the only words in this review that are relevant to the actual content of my book are "the book does have some interesting UK UFO cases" (final paragraph).

First I have to say that I am blown away with the fact that nothing has been said about the lights over the western sky on Wednesday 2-27-08. I've lived in San Diego for twenty years and have never seen anything like what I saw that night.

At first there were five lights due west over the Point Loma horizon at about 6:30, past twilight. These five lights were vertical and spaced seemingly even, one by one starting from the top light they began to disappear.

I was on the phone while I was driving and asked my friend if he saw the lights, he hadn't so I told him to look west and check out the sky (He was in the Santee area so these lights were fairly high up).

Quickly three more lights showed up in another section of the western sky, more south, that were in a triangle shape. This time my buddy saw them and was as baffled as I was. Before it was over there were at least six more lights in pairs that came and went.

I thought it might be shrapnel from the satellite we blew out of the sky last week, but I am not so sure because of the way they seemed so ordered and evenly spaced. Any idea what these were? Thank You.

I am on holidays in Coronado San Diego in a beach front hotel. The following I experienced on Feb. 27,2008 at approx. 7:00 pm.

What I saw was something in the sky that I did not even know what I was looking at until my husband was listening to the news and told me there was a ufo sighting in San Diego. Everything just clicked and I realized that I saw the ufo. I was walking up alone to the hotel and I saw an object that resembled half a dish with huge lights on it. The lights were in the shape of a plus sign (ex. + + +). I did not give it much thought, I was tired.

As I continued to walk, there was something hovering over me with no lights and it seemed to be scanning or repositioning itself and I could hear the noise of the scanning. Again if you could believe it, I continued to walk ignoring it. It was only later, when I was in the hotel that the reality of it sunk in and after hearing of it on the news. The object was really close to me, so close that I could hear the scanning.

During the night, I got up in the hotel room and looked at the sky thinking to see something. I could kick myself for being so dense, that I did not have any idea of what I was looking at and hearing. I must say that the object was really close to me. Well I go home tomorrow to Canada. I will definitely remember my visit to San Diego. God Bless

Animal Planet - Original Air Date: 11/11/12

The team heads to Pocatello, Idaho, to check out a video shot by teenagers last winter (2011) that seems to show a bigfoot-like-creature atop a snowy, forested ridge. The footage has been nicely stabilized by local news, but the footprint they show looks like a fake to me (and Cliff) -- too regular in its features. Ranae thinks the whole thing is too good to be true, noting that teens are "the perfect candidates to pull off a prank or hoax." And it only takes her 15 minutes to hike up to the place the teens said it took them an hour to get to. She suggests the video shows another hiker in heavy winter gear, though Matt believes its a bigfoot. They then do a night hunt, and after that a town-hall meeting and witness interviews.

Ranae is this weeks solo camper, and she does that while the rest talk to witnesses. As usual, the stories are compelling (I had a friend tell me of her encounter 2 weeks ago), but wheres the physical proof? They then go to the lab of Dr. Jeff Meldrum (famous bigfoot researcher) and show him the video. He compares it favorably to the Patterson Gimlin film (which you probably know I believe to be a hoax - see Is it Real review). When the group reunites, Ranae shows them pictures of footprints she found in the dust, which dont seem to have been from a bear. But is it bigfoot? They decide to throw a Rave in the woods to see if the sights and sounds will attract the animal. They get a thermal hit in a tree down the valley, which the guys think was a small bigfoot, but Ranae (sensibly) thinks was a racoon or small bear. Again, nothing concrete, and I wish they could spend more time in one area concentrating on a search, rather than flitting around from week to week.
