Time: Approx: 1:30 a.m.

At approx. 1:30 am on June 11th or 12th, 2008 I was driving home and saw a bright formation of lights in the northern sky. Since I was driving, I was unable to tell whether the lights were moving. My drive home was only about 5 minutes and after I parked the car I was able to see this large object hovering over the North shore of the Bay of Islands (Summerside), just outside of Corner Brook, NL. The night was clear, lots of stars (no moon if I recall). The object was stationary several thousand feet up. It was "V" shaped with lights changing from red to blue on each end of the "V". On the bottom there were very bright white and blue lights, and at times, beams of light would shine down from that part of the object. I did not report this officially and was wondering if you can point me in the right direction for an official report. Thank you. You can contact me at (contact email removed).

Os documentos tamb'em mostram que o DOPS chegou a convocar para depor dois uf'ologos, pessoas que s~ao estudiosas de 'ovnis (UFOs, em ingl^es), e infiltrou um agente para acompanhar as reuni~oes peri'odicas de um grupo de apaixonados por discos voadores. O Ex'ercito investigou o epis'odio, segundo o pedido de informac~oes da CBU. O Minist'erio da Defesa e o Ex'ercito nunca responderam. "Na d'uvida, o burocrata sempre suprime informac~ao. Al'em dos agentes do servico secreto e dos oficiais da Aeron'autica, houve tamb'em algum tipo de colaborac~ao da Marinha, coletando hist'orias com pescadores locais. Os agentes se dividiam em turnos. Faziam vig'ilias noturnas at'e o dia amanhecer em lugarejos pouco povoados. Algumas vezes, a intensa atividade celeste no turno da noite levava o descanso a se estender at'e as 15h. No dia 5 de novembro de 1977, muitas luzes chamaram a atenc~ao dos oficiais da Aeron'autica na miss~ao de encontrar os OVNIs:

"1h00 - Observada "luz" pairando sobre a 'agua no rumo de Joanes/Jobim (PA)";

"2h15 - Observada "luz" colorac~ao azulada recess, pr'oxima ao farol de Colares, deslocou-se com velocidade sobre a 'agua para o norte. Observou-se uma luminosidade reflexa sobre a 'agua at'e as 3h25'.

O relat'orio do SNI n~ao explica o que eram de fato essas luzes. Traz alguns desenhos sugerindo serem naves espaciais. A c^amera da marca Minolta modelo SRT-101 usada para fotografar os OVNIs chegou a registrar "uma mancha branca, como se fosse uma luz".

Em outra oportunidade, "a revelac~ao mostrou uma mancha preta, como se tivesse queimado o filme".

O SNI participou parcialmente de uma miss~ao comandada pela Aeron'autica nos Estados do Par'a e do Maranh~ao, no continue de 1977 e in'icio de 1978. O servico secreto brasileiro era ent~ao comandado pelo nothing special Jo~ao Batista de Figueiredo. Em 1979, ele se tornaria o 'ultimo presidente militar antes da redemocratizac~ao do pa'is. Pessoas em contato com o fen^omeno apresentavam sintomas de "paresia [paralisia incompleta] generalizada, hipotermia, cefal'eia, queimaduras superficiais, calor intenso, n'auseas, tremores do corpo, tontura, astenia [fraqueza] e min'usculos orif'icios na pele".

I'd say that the most interesting talk was the first one on Saturday afternoon, retired Army Colonel Dr. John Alexander. He is among the most skeptical of UFO believers, and because of this he excited (or more properly, inflamed) the audience more than anyone else. His heresy was not that there are not real ET UFOs, but merely that there is no government coverup, or secret UFO-related program. Alexander stated that "disclosure has already happened," pointing to a few mostly-ambiguous statements by world leaders (such as Jimmy Carter, or Prince Philip) that suggest a belief in UFOs. Alexander claims that the government already knows that UFOs are real and interplanetary, but they simply don't care. They have so many more pressing problems - the economy, wars and terrorism, health care, etc. - that they simply have no time or inclination to deal with UFOs.

Mostly, Alexander's talk was a recital of what he does "not" believe in: Alien Reproduction Vehicles, MJ-12 papers, antigravity drives, underground UFO bases, and (worst of all) no Grand Coverup, no 'secrecy police' (Men in Black). Even the Holy Roswell Crash was doubted. To those who claim to have been harassed or silenced because of UFO sightings, Alexander said, "come to me, I will protect you and defend your case." According to Alexander, "the UFO community" has become its own worst enemy, and it is necessary to make the study of UFOs intellectually respectable.

In case they come across a crashed UFO, MUFON investigators are totally prepared with this "Evidence Collection Kit."

The next talk was by Dr. Paul LaViolette, on "Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion" and "Superluminal Space Travel" (faster-than-light). He has invented a Unified Field Theory called "Subquantum Kinetics." This is a better theory than Einstein's, because it explains more things. It embraces Anti-gravity and Free Energy. It's based in part on the theories of T. Townsend Brown, a strange 20th century physicist who claimed to be able to prove that electric fields can overcome gravity (and who later founded the influential UFO group NICAP). Brown, like Tesla, is a favorite icon in the woo-physics of today. Using Brown's electro-gravitics, one could travel to Mars for just 25 worth of energy. LaViolette acknowledges that electrogravitics violates Newton's Third Law, but does not seem too concerned about that. His most interesting theory is that Pulsars are artificial beacons, set up by ETs for use during their superluminal travel.

During dinner break, the options for food weren't terribly good, so I ended up in the bar munching appetizers and nachos and chatting up some New Age types. In situations like this, one must always remember (as Phil Plait would say) "DBAD". I tell folks "I'm skeptical, but I've come here to see if there might be anything to it." Mostly they're OK with that. Strictly speaking that is a true statement, but after 40 years as a skeptical UFO researcher (I started young), I have virtually no expectation of finding any "good" ET-UFO evidence, and especially not in a place where the likes of Richard Dolan or Linda Moulton Howe are taken seriously. Still, keep reminding myself that I could be wrong.

The first evening talk was by the UFO Abduction researcher Barbara Lamb. She has been a regular speaker at the International UFO Congress for many years. She has been researching the matter of ET-human "hybrids," many of whom according to Lamb are already living amongst us. Indeed, she has interviewed some of them (many do not realize they are hybrids, and still think themselves human). Others embrace their ET heritage as a sort of badge of distinction.

Why are the aliens doing this? There is some suggestion that they are a dying race, possibly polluted by nuclear energy, and they need our genes to survive. The early-stage hybrids look very much like ETs, and cannot live on earth, although they may pop through the wall for a brief visit. Medium-stage hybrids possess a greater mixture of human DNA, and might more readily pass as human, but they still cannot live on earth for long periods of time. However, late-stage hybrids can live on earth and pass for being fully human, except for their odd, somewhat angular appearance. She showed many pictures of glamorous fashion models, mostly female, whose odd expressionless face and angular features suggest to Lamb not anorexia, but extraterrestrial ancestry.

UFO SIGHTING IN COLORADO ON AUGUST 3RD 2013 - EITHER A FLEET OF CRAFT, OR FAMILY OF FLYING ELECTRIC JELLYFISH, OR ?

I left the house to follow the sound of live music coming from either the Boulder County Fair; or more likely, the Left Hand Brewery. There were boisterous teenagers with skateboards in the vicinity. As I began to head southbound on Sunset Ave, I immediately saw above the South horizon a cluster of white orbs, the three most prominent (brightest, largest) were central to the group and held the ubiquitous TRIANGLE FORMATION! I asked the pack of teens as I rolled past on my bicycle: "You see funny lights in the sky?" one said "well, yeah". Ok, so I roll down the hill passing Roger Rd, the county fair in the distance to my right(west) and the brewery to my left(east)... as I approach Nelson Rd it becomes harder to track the Orb Cluster, I am leveling out, & trees block much of the action. @10:37 I get to Sunset my phone camera will simply not suffice for this purpose though. - From St Vrain Greenway I saw a fat bright falling star in the east promptly followed by another. By midnight, I had re-traced the first part of my path in a genuine sense of wonderment. I am the author of case # 48506: Three Amber Lights, and this is turning out to be an interesting season for Orb Spotting!.
