'ARGO'
Studio Six was a CIA front during a 1979-80 deception operation. The 'Argo' script itself served a purpose and a film was never actually produced. In 2012, a movie of the same name was released and based on events surrounding the original operation.
The film tag line in 1980 read, "A Cosmic Conflagration." The tag line today reads, "The movie was fake. The mission was real."
For those who have not seen the film, opening shots take viewers through Persian history and its eventual clash with the West. A narrator explains Iranian traditional perspectives and the manners England and the States questionably intervened in Iranian affairs circa 1953.

Bearman explained on 'Wired' that the veteran makeup artist involved was John Chambers, winner of a 1969 Academy Award for his work on 'Planet of the Apes'. Chambers is additionally credited with such makeup sensations as those of 'Star Trek', where he served as makeup designer during the 1966 television series. Considered a special effects master within the industry, Chambers designed such innovative staples as the skull cap, which remains in use today. He contributed his expertise to such productions as 'Lost in Space', 'Night Gallery' and 'The Island of Dr. Moreau'. Bearman identified Chambers as a friend to Mendez and "one of Mendez's longtime CIA collaborators."
Bearman also wrote about the role of professional makeup artist Robert Sidell in the operation. Sidell posed as producer while manning phone lines, fielding press inquiries and handling similar such responsibilities. The Tinseltown veteran was nominated four times during his career for an Emmy Award, including once in 1980 for his work with Chambers on the sci fi television show, 'Beyond Westworld'. He also received nominations for his work on the shows 'The Waltons' and 'Dynasty', as well as the 1982 blockbuster film, 'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial'.
Mendez stated in 'A Classic Case of Deception, CIA Goes Hollywood' that while employed with the CIA Office of Technical Service Disguise Section he engaged the services of many consultants in the entertainment industry. He further stated such consultants were "masters at working the Hollywood system" and indicated their expertise was extremely beneficial during the 'Argo' operation.
Mendez and the CIA obviously maintained a presence in Hollywood. What's more, such connections were demonstrated to have multiple, evolving purposes as situations and objectives dictated.
"They had begun applying 'grease' and calling in favors even before I arrived," Mendez wrote of his Hollywood 'Argo' collaborators. "Simple things such as the installation of telephones were supposed to take weeks, but we had everything we needed down to the paper clips by the fourth day."
"Several black-bag deliveries" of cash were used to set up Studio Six, he reported. A CIA contract officer was enlisted to witness cash deliveries, "follow up as bagman" and similar such responsibilities. "It would take two years to clear all accounts on these matters," Mendez explained.
He further explained that at one point an embassy hostage rescue was seriously considered in which Special Forces could possibly infiltrate Tehran using the same Canadian film crew cover that was at the time being developed to exfiltrate the six. "We imagined that it might be possible to conceal weapons and other material in the motion picture equipment," he wrote.
Mendez and his accomplice to Tehran each received the prestigious Intelligence Star award. Mendez was also later honored as a CIA Trailblazer. Chambers was eventually granted the CIA's Intelligence Medal of Merit, a recognition rarely bestowed upon non-staffers and quite possibly as likely due to his collective service as any given single operation.
Mendez reported that by the time Studio Six closed shop several weeks after the successful exfiltration, 26 scripts had been received for consideration. "One," he wrote, "was from Steven Spielberg."

Such circumstances as contained in the 'Argo' saga provide us with a great deal of potential food for thought. Researchers James Carrion, Mark Pilkington and Dr. Jacques Vallee, to name a few, have served up such dishes on occasion.
Carrion, a former military intelligence analyst, suggested deception operations might well cross paths with ufology from time to time. The renowned Vallee has long questioned the extent the IC influences ufology, though the UFO community typically limits its perspective of Vallee to his paranormal-based points of view. In more recent years he published a most interesting series of blog posts on the likelihood some crop circles may be linked to deception operations and social experiments. Ufology largely averts from such work and gives it minimal discussion.
On a related note, Dr. Michael S. Heiser of 'UFO Religions' directed our attention to the manner some self-described paranormal researchers play the persecution card in lieu of addressing true rebuttals. Discriminating thinkers have lost patience with supposed investigators who complain they have been forsaken by mainstream science, when, in fact, there is actually plenty of qualified review that such investigators just refuse to accept and competently address.
Dr. Heiser authored the novel, 'The Facade', and has been interviewed many times by such media outlets as 'Coast to Coast AM'. He published the paper, 'The Majestic Documents: A Forensic Linguistic Report', an objective assessment of supposed MJ-12 documents. The piece contains results of scientifically conducted linguistic tests that are most damaging to the possibility the documents could be authentic.
We might particularly choose to chew on the matters revealed in the 'Argo' saga when we consider the extent people tend to form their beliefs due much more to what they see at the movies and watch on television than the results of professionally conducted research. Am hesitant to say too much about this event. Was on a day's holiday from work. I'm (work place deleted) for 30 yrs. I work opposite military airfield and I am familiar with just about anything with fixed or rotary wings. Had excellent vantage from hilltop of approx: 1800 ft. I was observing a contrail from NW to SE at hi altitude. Air in vicinity of event took on a brightness, I'll call milky glowing blue. I observed a trail that was moving opposite of contrails direction, of smoke? cloud? vapor? that corkscrewed through the air.
I began snapping shots with my disposable 35 mm camera. At same while, heard hissing and was aware of something directly approaching. I became fearful of some kind of assault on my person about to take place.
ONLY SECONDS HAD PASSED FROM MY INITIAL SIGHTING OF CONTRAIL. I FOUND MYSELF MUTTERING/BABBLING/DISORIENTED. (TO ME THAT MEANS HE HAD CONTACT)

These animals are not to be shot if an encounter should take place. They don't mean us any harm, they are just curious.Hollywood has done a real job of portraying these animals as horrible creatures and that just isn't true. Don't believe what you see in the movies.
I would like to know if it is you, or an associate of yours, that I would talk to about Sasquatch. Two experiences have been eating away at me for years now. On two occasions I am, without any doubt, sure I have called in Sasquatch while moose hunting.
On the first occasion I communicated with {him?} for about half an hour. Then I finally saw him. On the second occasion, while moose hunting, I unknowingly called him in to within 50 yards of me. Then he tried to imitate my calling. When he became wise to my presence he took off at a speed that a moose would have trouble keeping up to. A short while later I heard him in the timber again. Then I realized that he had been watching me for about an hour earlier in the day.
It would seem logical to assume from the experience that he might have had food or something important in the point of timber where I think he was in originally because that is where he returned to. When my brother went to investigate he realized that there was something going on that he became very uneasy about and backed off out of there.
Recently a very upstanding professional confided in me about sounds that he listened to at his parents cabin on a lake not far from Prince George, this past October/2004. I have always been fascinated with Sasquatch since I first heard of him in the 1950's when I was a young lad. The last three or four years I have been doing a lot of studying on Sasquatch from the giant library of the internet.
I would like to talk to someone who is an authority in Sasquatch investigation work and actually request the privilege to work in this field myself. There is no longer any doubt in my mind that these beings are very much human or about as close as could be. I do not believe that one should be shot or captured to be exploited as a specimen. I think that they deserve to be treated with respect and communicated with in a proper manner.
From my own experiences and what some other people have told me about what they experienced, along with what I have learned, brings me to a great desire to be in the presence of one of these beings to attempt to create a communication link.
If you are not the one for me to be talking to could you please tell me who that would be. I feel a bit uneasy about writing to you about this, but, at 57 years of age I am finding it harder every year to keep this to myself.
Especially because I have such a desire to do something worthwhile with what has been put into my life. Good Lord willing I will still have 20 or 30 years of usefulness ahead of me. Perhaps I could use some of that to benefit the study of our furry friend. I suppose that I could be considered as being self centered in my desire, but I have experienced Sasquatch first hand and need to follow up on that. A fellow that I used to work with experienced a close encounter with Sasquatch and when I asked him if he would take me to where it happened he said that he was so afraid that he will never go back there as long as he lives. This seems to be the reaction of a lot of people. I guess this makes me a bit strange because I want to find one for the intent to communicate.
Anyway I have rambled on long enough. If you or someone else would like to contact me I would appreciate that very much.

MISSOURI WITNESSES REPORT MISSING TIME AFTER CLOSE ENCOUNTER

A Missouri witness at Piedmont reported watching a large, orange-red glowing ball just above her rooftop that was followed by a "humanoid" sighting and missing time, according to testimony in Case 47649 closed as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) announced September 19, 2013.
The witness, who wants to remain anonymous, first heard a "strange humming sound" and stepped outside to investigate on her 100-acre property about 11:10 p.m. on May 24, 2013.
"Saw a large, brightly glowing, orange/red ball of light on the northeast corner of my house, just above the roof line and approximately 15 feet from the house," the witness stated. "It looked like a solid object underneath a halo of light surrounding it. I was standing about 30 away from the object. I was in shock and stood there, frozen."
The woman called her 36-year-old son to come outside.
"We both watched this object, for about 20 minutes or so, as it hovered in the same spot, wavering somewhat, then it moved to the southeast and noticed that there were at least 10 more of these objects in the woods at and below the tree line about 100 yards from our position. The object moved very slowly towards the woods, seeming to be unaware of our presence or not to care that we saw it."
The woman tried to get her cell phone to work in order to photograph the objects, but it would not work.
"I thought the battery was drained, but after the object was out of sight, the phone resumed working."
The two decided to go back into the house, but then something caught the womans attention.

I would define this as evidence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, without a clear welcome or declaration of intent. Arthur C. Clarke wrote the definitive science fiction story with this plot: Rendezvous with Rama. Future humans encounter an alien craft headed toward Earth. They explore the craft and find only more mysteries. The novel concludes with the extraterrestrial spacecraft using the sun's gravitational pull to throw it out towards a far-flung galaxy. We never really know the purpose of the craft or the motives of the Ramans, as the humans call them. It's an interesting dilemma: the thrill of discovery mixed with fear of the unknown and Clarke does a great job building the tension.
That tension comes from the path of the spacecraft in Rendezvous with Rama. It's headed near Earth. The proximity of extraterrestrial intelligence to the Earth would be the prime factor in how humans respond to a mysterious First Contact event. If we discover an engineered signal coming from a far-off star system the threat is lessened. If we discover an alien craft rounding Jupiter and headed to Earth, well, needless to say, that ratchets up the worry considerably.
Fear thrives on lack of information. In such a case, speculation would run rampant. Without solid facts to counter such speculation, it could go beyond the province of internet gossip mongers and impact the wider human population. Protection of Earth would become a big issue in any scenario. I would imagine we could expect much more debate about space monitoring and probably space defense. The lack of an acknowledged authority at the international level could make it worse. While people seem to trust the United Nations for the coordination of space treaties and the cataloging of space junk (as tracked by NASA, among others), there is still no real authority given to the Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. The United States and China would share a common threat (or perception of threat we should say) and yet that's no guarantee they would actually work together. One would hope the UN Security Council would be seen as an international authority, but even that group is fraught with conflict and challenges. And there are other concerns, beyond the political. Space defense technology would rely on extra-planet missile defense, which is not allowed under UN treaty. And any build up of arms in space would be a threat to Earth.
For these reasons I would argue that close proximity mysterious First Contact would be the near worst case scenario (next to an all-out alien invasion, oh so favored by our friends in Hollywood). Mysterious First Contact would create a degree of paranoia that could make human interactions dangerous and foul the waters if the extraterrestrials did eventually decide to communicate with humans.
There is certainly not much we could do to counteract such a situation. We could only control our own reaction and hope that cooler heads prevail here on Earth. Perhaps such a mysterious First Contact would actually bring nations closer together, as they rally around a common cause?
