This watchdog looks headed for the unilluminated side of the necklaces from about 28 degrees below the ringplane. The image was eventful with the Cassini spacecraft wide-angle camera on Dec. 2, 2013 by means of a ghastly drip which preferentially admits wavelengths of near-infrared light centered at 752 nanometers.

The watchdog was acquired at a outer space of something like 750,000 miles (1.2 million kilometers) from Saturn and at a Sun-Saturn-spacecraft, or epoch, angle of 57 degrees. Phantom basic is 45 miles (72 kilometers) per pixel.
The Cassini-Huygens commission is a hutch project of NASA, the European Break into Administration and the Italian Break into Administration. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a cut of the California Present of Technology in Pasadena, manages the commission for NASA's Science Predict Directorate in Washington.
