"TRACEY PARECE, UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENA EXAMINER "Hundreds of people in Chengdu City, China, observed a large UFO as it slowly moved across a cloudy starless sky on Monday, August 8, 2011. One of the witnesses was a man named Mr. Yu who spoke with SCTV 4 about the event. Mr. Yu told reporters that the UFO was large, slow, and moving at a high altitude. He also said it reminded him of the film "Independence Day" and that 2012 is drawing near.Although one witness was able to capture the unidentified flying object on video, clear footage of the UFO is not currently available.According to UFO Global Reporting Center: "China's state run Sichuan TV channel 4 reported [a] UFO sighting in Chengdu City last night [August 8, 2011] in China. Unfortunately there wasn't a clear video taped for the sighting.However, many observers were interviewed by the TV channel; and according to one of the observers, Mr. Yu, the object was sitting at very high altitude, was hiding in the clouds, it was large, like a mothership, moving a very slow pace.
